You scored two more points for the team in Japan - has that given you an added boost going into this weekend?

I’ve managed to retain my confidence during both high and low periods this season. Sometimes you get knockbacks and sometimes there are better periods as a driver, and whilst it was far from excellent it was a bit of a boost to return to the points. I will need to stay positive and stay focussed to ensure I’m on my game this weekend.

The first Korean Grand Prix took place last year - what is your impression of Korea as an F1 venue, and how do you enjoy driving at this track?

It’s good to race in different countries, and it’s important the sport comes to new territories. As for the track, it’s quite an enjoyable one to drive on because there are some high speed and low speed corners. It was not easy last year because it was a step into the unknown for everyone and the track was very dirty. It was tricky to find the right car set-up but in returning here we are all more familiar with it.

What are the key skills you will need to demonstrate in order to have a successful weekend?

We will try to find the appropriate set-up as early as possible this weekend, and we will approach things in a similar way to Suzuka. We need as much track time as possible to stand us in good stead come qualifying on Saturday and then the race on Sunday.
