Mercedes reveals 1 February debut for W02

Mercedes GP on Friday announced that its 2011 car will make its debut at Valencia on 1 February.

The Brackley based team said its new single seater, to be called the W02, will be in front of its garage at the Cheste circuit at 9.20am on the first day of group testing.

The low-key ’launch’ will be in the form of a photo call featuring race drivers Michael Schumacher and Nico Rosberg.

Also on hand will be team bosses Ross Brawn and Norbert Haug.
