Ferrari reveals new car launch date

The car which Ferrari will race in this year’s Formula 1 World Championship will be officially unveiled in Maranello on Friday 28 January.

This news was announced by Scuderia Ferrari team principal, Stefano Domenicali at a press meeting held today at the Italian ski resort, which is hosting Wrooom 2011, to kick off the Formula 1 and Moto GP seasons.

Ferrari said that last Friday, the first chassis was being put together by the car assembly department.

Domenicali also announced to the assembled reporters that he is stepping down as FOTA’s vice chairman, even though the current chairman Martin Whitmarsh is staying on.

He said his successor will be announced soon.
