David Bogie will run first on the road for a second day on RACMSA Rally of Scotland, the penultimate round of the Intercontinental Rally Challenge, after the top 10 overall positions were reversed to form the starting order for Sunday’s seven stages.

Bogie, who has clinched both the British and Scottish titles this season, is currently second in the IRC Production Cup standings after eight stages. He drives a Ralliart Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX and will be followed through today’s stages in Stirlingshire, located south-west of the service park in Perth, by Finn Toni Gardemeister in a TGS Worldwide ŠKODA Fabia Super 2000.

Yesterday, Bogie described running at the head of the field as a “privilege”, adding: “leading these guys through the stages on my home round of the IRC is a great feeling.”

IRC Production Cup leader Jarkko Nikara is third on the road in his Lancer with factory ŠKODA driver Jan Kopecký fourth. ŠKODA Sweden’s Patrik Sandell is fifth with Craig Breen sixth in his M-Sport Ford Fiesta S2000.

Thierry Neuville, who has a new gearbox fitted in his Team Peugeot Belgium-Luxembourg 207 following his drama’s on stage seven when he broke reverse gear trying to recover from a spin, is seventh, one place in front of 2010 Rally of Scotland winner Juho Hänninen.

Bryan Bouffier starts ninth for Peugeot France with rally leader Andreas Mikkelsen 10th for ŠKODA UK Motorsport.

Overnight rain is expected to continue into mid-morning today although brighter conditions and warmer temperatures are expected later.
