Honda agrees a technical partnership with IHI for F1 project

Honda Motor Co. and IHI Corporation have reached an agreement to enter a two year technical partnership regarding the development and supply of components relating to the turbocharger used in Honda’s Formula One Power Unit as from the start of the 2019 FIA Formula One* World Championship.
Honda has worked with IHI on turbocharger development since the company’s return to F1 in 2015. Now the partnership is being strengthened with the aim of accelerating the development of our Power Unit.
