HRT denies F1 team for sale

Troubled F1 team HRT on Friday denied reports the Spanish outfit is for sale.

The sports newspaper Diario AS said the split with intended 2011 car supplier Toyota has left the team with "no car, no base, no drivers (and) no sponsors".

"(Owner) Jose Ramon Carabante and his equity partners have (therefore) put up the team for sale," added the report.

But the Reuters news agency quotes a spokeswoman as responding: "The team is not on sale, we are working for 2011.

"Carabante is working on getting sponsors and investors. One Spanish group is interested in joining the team but things are not so easy nowadays in the world," she added.
