Circuit de Catalunya includes Barcelona

Circuit de Catalunya includes the city of Barcelona in its name and from now on will be called Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. This new name is a consequence of the sponsorship agreement signed between the Barcelona City Council and the Circuit, and the need to bind the tourist attractions of the city with the activities of the racetrack.

For Vicenç Aguilera, President of the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya Consortium, "The city of Barcelona has a lot of strength and a great international projection, and therefore we believe that the new name, Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, will help us to boost the facilities much stronger, just as we have been doing in recent years with the promotion of the F1 and MotoGP Grands Prix".

The new corporate identity of Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya includes a new design of its logo, which gathers, in a single element and in a simplified manner, the track layout, the representation of the map of Catalonia on a chequered flag and the name of the city of Barcelona.

The implementation of these new visual elements will be carried out progressively in the facilities, the graphic material and the official documents.
