IRC - Mikkelsen back for more Norway rally action

Rally Finnskog starts today

4 February 2012 - 10h21, by Olivier Ferret

Intercontinental Rally Challenge champion Andreas Mikkelsen will be back in action today when he contests Rally Finnskog in his native Norway.

The 22-year-old, who won the Norwegian championship season-opening Mountain Rally last month, will drive a ŠKODA Fabia Super 2000 for the Evenrally team alongside regular navigator Ola Fløene.

Based in the village of Svullrya, 137 kilometres north-east of Oslo, the event features four stages run twice over a total competitive distance of 120 kilometres.

Meanwhile, Mikkelsen’s IRC title defence with ŠKODA UK Motorsport will begin on SATA Rallye Açores from 23-25 February. He finished second on the gravel event last season.
