Tsunoda tells F1 teams - ’Call me’
"I think I gave it 100 percent"
Yuki Tsunoda has used his unexpected return to the grid at Zandvoort to openly advertise himself to Formula 1 teams still considering their 2027 lineups.
The Japanese driver had been linked with a move to IndyCar even before Isack Hadjar’s injury created a temporary Racing Bulls opportunity, while Haas and Alpine have also been mentioned despite relatively few obvious F1 vacancies.
Tsunoda believes he adapted surprisingly quickly despite having raced only four times in the eight months since Abu Dhabi.
"And thanks to Red Bull - the team kept me in shape with the simulator and other things like that. But, of course, overall, I really enjoyed it."
"I think I gave it 100 percent, as much as I could at this stage. I think I did pretty well."
Tsunoda says the weekend should help his case as his management explores options for next season.
"I think overall it was a positive weekend, and the level I showed can also be considered positive," said the 26-year-old.
"Now it all depends on my manager, as well as the other teams that haven’t yet decided on their drivers for next season. Whether they want to take me or not."
