Marko dismisses Senna talk

Bruno Senna has signed with the new Campos Meta team for the coming season but with the new Spanish outfit openly admitting that they do not have a full budget for the 2010 season, rumours began to circulate that Senna could be on the move to Toro Rosso for his Grand Prix debut.

While Red Bull Renault has an unchanged line-up for the new season, only Sebastien Buemi has been confirmed at Toro Rosso Ferrari. The Italian team is expected to field Jaime Alguersuari once again, but without confirmation, the rumour mill continues to link Senna with the team.

"It’s not true," stated Red Bull motorsport consultant Helmut Marko in an interview with 422race.com. "I’ve never heard about it. It will be Alguersuari. It’s just some contractual details that have to be solved, but generally it’s Alguersuari."

Marko went on to add that while he expects Alguersuari to be retained for his first full season in the sport, there is currently no set day as to when the announcement will be made.

Buemi meanwhile was scheduled to take part in a Red Bull promotional event in Montreal at the weekend but ice event had to be cancelled due to unseasonable warm conditions.
