Yas Marina circuit sold to government

It was a race against time to get the new Abu Dhabi circuit ready for its inaugural Grand Prix last November. Following the first instalment, which was deemed largely successful, it has emerged that circuit developer Aldar Properties has sold the circuit to the Abu Dhabi government.

Alder Properties recently reported a 70 percent decline in earnings in 2009 and according to ArabianBusiness.com the sale of the Hermann Tilke designed circuit is part of a package including general infrastructure of the Yas Marina development.
