The Virgin Racing Formula One team will be aiming for a glowing performance in the penultimate race of the season after signing major household cleaning brand Bom Bril as a partner for this weekend’s Brazilian Grand Prix.

Bom Bril SA is the largest manufacturer of cleaning solutions in Brazil and its 25 brands cover a portfolio of 450 items found on supermarket shelves. It has manufacturing centres in the states of Sao Paulo, Minas Gerais and Pernambuco as well as a number of distribution centres throughout Brazil.

Bom Bril recently launched a new product line, Ecobril, following a substantial investment in research and new technologies for the development of green products which are natural, concentrated, renewable and biodegradable.

Bom Bril is also involved in the production and distribution of steel products for many industry sectors including automotive, railway and civil construction.

Graeme Lowdon, CEO of Virgin Racing: “Virgin Racing is pleased to welcome Bom Bril to the team for the Brazilian Grand Prix where they will have a strong visual presence on both of our VR-01 race cars as well as the racesuits and helmets of our drivers Timo Glock and Lucas di Grassi. It is extremely encouraging that we continue to sign new partnerships even at this stage in the season and once again we have succeeded in attracting another new sponsor to Formula One. The Grand Prix is the biggest national sporting event in Brazil in 2010. It is also a big weekend for our driver Lucas di Grassi, who will be racing an F1 car on home soil for the first time. This is always a very special occasion for a racing driver and the team and all our partners are looking forward to sharing that experience with him.”

Marcos Scaldelai, Marketing Director of Bom Bril: “Bom Bril is very happy to partner the Virgin Racing team at the 2010 Brazilian Grand Prix, the first time that Bom Bril has been involved with this major national sporting event. It’s a special moment for the company, not least because one of the team’s drivers is Brazilian. Lucas di Grassi has done a very good job in his first year as a Formula One driver and can be proud. Our objective for the partnership is to create a new experience with the brand and to reach new consumers in a different way.”
