Toro Rosso is set to join every other established formula one team in adding a F-duct innovation to its 2010 car.
Earlier this season, the small Red Bull-owned team said it could not afford to pursue that line of development.
"If I have ten euros and am hungry, I would buy two sandwiches instead of three grams of caviar," said technical boss Giorgio Ascanelli.
But since then, every established team - that is, every team in F1 except the three new outfits - has got the McLaren-pioneered downforce-stalling concept up and running.
Toro Rosso driver Sebastien Buemi revealed on Twitter: "Tomorrow (I’m) testing in Vairano and trying the F-duct for the first time."
