Pastor Maldonado has ensured the wrath of the race stewards once again this weekend, after the Venezuelan driver this time made contact with Sergio Perez during the British Grand Prix. The Sauber driver unfortunately was forced into retirement after the incident, whereas Maldonado was able to continue racing.

After the race had come to a conclusion, the race stewards imposed both a €10,000 fine and a reprimand upon Maldonado for the collision, as the Williams driver eventually finished the race in 16th position. This was the second weekend in succession that the Venezuelan driver had received a penalty for fine in one form or another from the race stewards, after colliding with Lewis Hamilton the closing stages of the European Grand Prix.

The Spanish Grand Prix winner, who has failed to shine since that illustrious victory, lost control of the car upon entry to turn 6. Maldonado then inevitably struck Perez, as the two went off the track. Sergio Perez was very open in his disgust with Maldonado’s driving after the race, pleading the FIA take action upon his questionable driving.
