Official: Hulkenberg to leave Williams

Nico Hulkenberg has confirmed on his website that he will not race for Williams in Formula 1 next season.

"I heavily regret that. I would have been happy to stay with Williams," Hulkenberg said in a statement.

"I want to thank the team for a great time and I wish Williams all the best for the future," he added. "It has been a very difficult year for me, but already I am concentrating completely on 2011."

"Nico will leave Williams. They’re not negotiating any longer. They have probably already done a deal with Pastor Maldonado," his manager, Willi Weber, is quoted as saying by Express.
