Monaco Grand Prix winner Mark Webber is looking forward to this weekends Canadian Grand Prix, stating that the race in Montreal is one of the top five Grands Prix of the year. With the race usually a thrilling spectacle on the Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve, a seventh different winner in seven races is very much a possibility in what has already been a highly unpredictable 2012 season.

Mark Webber’s best result around the Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve was 3rd in last years washout of a race, which was red flagged for nearly two hours as heavy rainfall struck the track. After taking his first victory in 2012 last time out around the streets of Monte-Carlo, the Red Bull driver will undeniably be eager to replicate his victory this weekend.

“I would say Montreal is one of the top five Grands Prix of the year because it’s a sensational atmosphere.” Explained Mark Webber, “It’s a really, really good venue and always provides an interesting Grand Prix there for whatever reason, and last year was no exception. I love driving the circuit; it’s a good one to get our teeth into, a little bit like a street circuit, so I’m looking forward to getting out there.”

Red Bull have had a busy two week gap from Monte-Carlo, after the floor of their RB8 car was deemed illegal by the FIA. This was due to a hole on the floor, which caused suspicion amongst the other teams. Eventually, after much deliberation the hole was officially deemed illegal, which means Red Bull will have to alter the design of the floor of the RB8 prior to this weekends Grand Prix.

With the Canadian Grand Prix being the only race on the calendar which Red Bull have failed to win (apart from the American Grand Prix), the Milton Keynes-based outfit will be rooting for success on Sunday as they try and build on their lead in the Constructors Championship.
