Italian shoe brand eyes F1 sponsor deal

Italian shoe manufacturer Geox is looking into sponsoring a formula one team in 2011.

The Montebelluna based company, the maker of shoes with waterproof and breathable qualities, said on Monday it has already held talks with teams including Red Bull.

"Extreme sports with high technological content such as cycling and formula one can be interesting to us," boss Mario Moretti Polegato, also owner of sporting brand Diadora, told reporters.
