Hispania Racing F1 Team (formerly Campos Meta1) is on the doorstep of making history as it prepares to enter the F1 hall of fame on its debut at the Bahrain Grand Prix. Despite the lack of pre-season testing, the team is confident in its potential and is well prepared for a successful weekend at the Bahrain round this weekend, its first outing on F1’s world stage.

At the official presentation in Murcia, near Alicante (Spain), HRT F1 Team, "Hispania Racing F1 Team" has unveiled the Dallara car, equipped with a Cosworth engine, at the Auditorio de Murcia in front of Mr. Ramon Valcárcel, President of the Region of Murcia, and Mr. Carlos Gracia, President of the Spanish Motorsport Federation. A new team that makes history in Spain and becomes the first ever Spanish Formula 1 team and hopes to be well equipped and have all the credentials to fight it out at the pinnacle of world motorsport:

The focus for Team Principal Dr. Colin Kolles is to create greater awareness in the Spanish community. He comments, “Murcia is where the roots of the team are and this is why we want this historic moment of the launch of the first ever Spanish team to be written on the walls of the dynamic city of Murcia. I am excited by our driver line up and the amazing effort and passion I have witnessed from our entire team to get us to this point. We have all tools in our hands to become the most successful new team in the F1 paddock this year.”

“There are always development and human issues within a team,” adds Dr Colin Kolles . “We are close to achieving our breakthrough in F1 and the coming season will be a massive learning curve for us working together. It would be a dream to win our first point in our first race, but we are focused on taking things one step at a time, and building on our competitiveness as the season goes on.”
