Force India consider pulling out (...)

Force India have confirmed reports that they are considering pulling out of practice 2 which takes place later on today at Bahrain, with their team members refusing to travel in the dark. This comes after four mechanics were caught up in violence on Wednesday night, as a petrol bomb landed in close proximity of their car.

With Nico Hulkenberg also speaking out against the running of the Bahrain Grand Prix, the only driver so far to do so, the team look set to only play a limited role in FP2 before packing up prematurely to avoid any violence as they travel back to their hotels.

With F1 Supremo, Bernie Ecclestone, seen patrolling the paddock throughout the first practice session, negotiations are certainly set to get underway as Bernie tries to avoid an embarrassing situation of only 11 teams partaking in track events.

The Force India team have confirmed they will still take part in the major sessions throughout the weekend, namely qualifying tomorrow and the race on Sunday. With the team stipulating they are committed to racing in Bahrain this weekend, it looks set that Paul di Resta and Nico Hulkenberg will be completing limited track running throughout practice 2.

With Force India set to leave the track early today, and ultimately cut their track time during practice 2, this proves that some of the teams simply do not have 100% confidence in the FIA that safety will be maintained.
