F1 prediction game to relaunch (...)

Prost, Mansell, Lauda, Stewart: legends of a bygone era and none of whom played the NA Motorsport Formula One Prediction Game. But that’s no reason you shouldn’t! Experience the thrill of race day, the howl of the V8s, the fervour of the crowd and the smell of the gasoline. All you need is your internet connection (and maybe a bucket of petrol). Yes, now you too can take part in what many people are calling, “The greatest game ever on the NA Motorsport forum”.

“But wait!” I hear you cry, “The season has already begun. If I take part now, I have no chance of glory.” Fear not. Yes the game is under way but we will be starting a parallel game mid-season, which will run alongside the main game. Existing players and new players alike will start the parallel game with a crisp, refreshing zero.

The rules are simple. Before qualifying begins for each race, you make four predictions: who will get pole position, who will win, who will be second and who will be on the bottom step of the podium. Forgetful? We have that covered too: you can register a default bet so that when your mother-in-law makes an unexpected visit or when the cat has to be rushed to the vet after swallowing your car keys, you can rest assured that, even if you didn’t get chance to make your bet, your default bet might bag you some valuable points.

After each race weekend is over, the race victor is crowned and has the opportunity to march around their home aggressively sticking their index finger in the air to irritate their spouse, partner or parents. At the end of the season, we will have a new World Champion. That person has then earned the right to have a ‘1’ as their forum avatar and to be insufferable for 12 months. And there’s another invaluable bonus: if you haven’t yet signed up for the game, you probably haven’t signed up for the forum so you’re missing out on heated debates, hot-off-the-press news and messages from moderators warning you to stop swearing.

So what are you waiting for? Navigate to the forum, get signed up and join in the fun. It’s better than golf, Nigel.

Register for the forum now by clicking here, and join in for the latest round at Monaco.
