Karun Chandhok has recently been linked with the new Serbian-based StefanGP project but the Indian racer himself admits that there has been no contact with the team and that the rumours are pure speculation.

“I am surprised to see the reports emerging, I haven’t signed any contract with any team as of now,” the GP2 regular told DNA. “For now it is all speculation, but I wish it comes true.”

Chandhok finished 18th in the GP2 championship last year with Ocean Racing and has been linked with Force India for some time.

Should StefanGP get approval to race in Formula One, Kazuki Nakajima will almost certainly occupy one seat while Ralf Schumacher and Jacques Villeneuve have both been linked to the second.
