The rain held off this night allowing some dry running for the ten drivers in Jerez. The track was wet until 11am, then Rubens Barrichello set the pace for Williams. He recorded a best lap of 1:22.319s, three-tenths clear of Felipe Massa in his Ferrari.

Vettel lose a little track time with a mechanical problem at 10am, but was soon back in action. Felipe Massa caused an other red flag when he stopped with a mechanical problem at 12:50am.

Lucas di Grassi only did a control lap before returning to his garage. The VR-01 should be able to cover more laps this afternoon.
