The City Hall of Barcelona and RPM Racing are joining forces to bring to Barcelona a unique international and exceptional event, the 1st Edition of the Indoor Karting All Stars GP.

The Edition was presented yesterday in the Palau Sant Jordi, with Jaime Alguersuari Senior, President of RPM Racing, the City Hall Sports Delegate, Maite Fandos, and the Formula One driver, Jaime Alguersuari.

The best drivers and riders from the pinnacle of Motorsport will take part in an indoor Go-Kart race next 18th of December at 17h00 at the Palau Sant Jordi Venue. This is the first time that a unique and exclusive race like this takes place in Spain.

6 current Formula One drivers will take part in this race: Jaime Alguersuari and Sebastien Buemi (Scuderia Toro Rosso), Bruno Senna (Lotus Renault GP), Paul di Resta (Force India), Adrian Sutil (Force India), Jerôme d’Ambrosio (Marussia Virgin Racing), and Vitoantonio Liuzzi (HRT F1 Team).

Jorge Lorenzo, current Moto GP Champion, the top rally driver Dani Sordo, and the Catalan Indy Car Series Pro, Oriol Servià, are also confirmed in the 1st Edition of the Indoor Karting All Stars GP.

3 World Champions will complete the line-up!

The entry-list is already closed. A total of 12 drivers will take part, including 6 World Champions. This is the most spectacular entry that has ever been presented in such a kind of race. The drivers will use the Intrepid 125 cc. Kart delivering 45 hp, the same used in the World Championship.

However, the organizers had retained to keep the three other entries as a secret and to unveil their names progressively.

The Palau Sant Jordi venue will present a unique scenario, with a 420 meters long indoor karting track, 7 meters wide, 7 turns right handed, and 3 left handed.

The race format will be a challenge of three Finals, around 10 minutes time each. The Top 10 drivers of each Final Heat will be point awarded, using the same points scale as in Formula 1.

The winner of the Indoor Karting All Stars GP will be the one who sums more points.

To enhace the programme of this 1st Edition of Indoor Karting All Stars GP two more Kart categories will be added to the show.
