Bahrain I, Day 3: Marussia test report

On day three of pre-season testing at the Bahrain International Circuit, the Marussia F1 Team were hoping to put the frustrations of the past two days behind them and start achieving some solid mileage with the MR03. Unfortunately a problem arose with the engine early this morning, causing Max to stop out on track after completing four laps.

The engine anomaly was investigated by Scuderia Ferrari in tandem with a replacement engine being prepared for the car, in the hope that it may be possible to complete a few further laps at the end of the day. Despite best combined efforts, it was not possible to return the car to the track in the timeframe available and the focus switched to preparing for the final day of running tomorrow, when Jules Bianchi will be back in the car.
