Arden International announced GP3 Driver Simon Trummer will be joining them for the GP2 2012 Season.

The talented Swiss driver (22) is graduating to the GP2 Series following two years in the younger sister category, GP3 Series. Simon spent last year in GP3 Series with the MW Arden team finishing the season with some really strong results in Spa and Monza. Simon also participated in the GP2 Race in Abu Dhabiwith Arden International at the end of the 2011 Season.

Julian Rouse comments: “Its great to have Simon as part of our GP2 team in 2012. He is one of the most dedicated drivers I have ever worked with and has shown in both GP3 and the GP2 testing that he has a huge amount of speed and potential and we will all be doing our best to reach that potential together throughout the season. Simon moved forward a lot with his performance at the end of the 2011 GP3 season and we are confident that he can continue that development in 2012.”

Simon Trummer comments: “Six years ago, I was with my dad and my brother watching the Formula One Grand Pix at Hockenheim, with GP2 support. I said to them both, it would be my dream to drive a car like this one time in my life! Now, six years later, I will do my first season in such a strong series as GP2. I will do everything I can to take my chance and to be successful! To continue the season with Arden is another joy for me. They are such a great team with such good people in it, I really feel like I am in a family with them. Finally, thanks to my team who is working for me for a long time, without them I never would be in GP2, they did an unbelievable job!”
