Meeke’s team plans for quick fix in service

The Kronos Racing-run Peugeot UK team says it hopes that it can restore Kris Meeke’s 207 Super 2000 to full working order when he returns to service in Carlos Paz shortly.

Meeke has been dropping time throughout the morning with an electronic problem to the extent his third place is now coming under threat from fourth-placed Jan Kopecký.

A spokesperson for the Belgium-based team said: "We are hoping the problem is a minor fix in the 30-minute service and that it is just a case of resetting the data. But at this stage we just don’t know the exact problem."
