Rally Argentina’s opening superspecial stage through the streets of Carlos Paz will be a 12,000 sell-out when it runs for the first time later today.

Tickets for all spectator zones around the 3.30-kilometre course have been snapped up for the runs on Friday and Sunday, stages one and 15 respectively.

Leading crews, who will recce the stage shortly prior to tackling it in anger, are planning to use worn gravel tyres in order to be as competitive as possible due to the fact the regulations prevent the use of pure asphalt rubber.

The superspecial stage runs at 17:00hrs local time on Friday and 16:23hrs local time Sunday.
