Tarquini, Monteiro and Nash at Sonoma
The three drivers had a close look at the racetrack
WTCC ambassadors Gabriele Tarquini, Tiago Monteiro and James Nash are enjoying their first day at Sonoma’s Infineon Raceway where they have been invited to promote the World Touring Car Championship event of 23 September.
The three drivers had a close look at the racetrack from the outside, and later enjoyed a visit of the NASCAR paddock, with Lewis Franck, the doyen of American motorsport reporters, showing them around, introducing them to drivers and team principals and unveiling the secrets of touring car racing made in USA.
Later in the afternoon, Monteiro and Tarquini will give selected members of the media the thrill of a hot lap on the track in a two-seat SEAT León.
In the evening they will be special guests at the Children’s Charities Grand Marshall’s Banquet in Sonoma’s Cline Cellars.
