Prodrive linked with Mini project
BMW set for world rally championship programme?
Prodrive are rumoured to be working on a new world rally championship project based around the Mini Countryman.
According to Motorsport News, the new ’Mini Crossover’ will be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show next month after key BMW personnel met with Dave Richards and Prodrive technical director David Lapworth at Rally Sweden.
The car will be powered by a 1.6 litre turbo-charged engine while MaxRally.com reports that Mads Ostberg is in talks with Prodrive about driving next year.
