Valencia - Dahlgren tops sunny warm-up
The Chevrolet trio filled the spots from second to fourth
Making up from yesterday’s disappointing qualifying, Robert Dahlgren clocked the fastest lap in the 15-minute warm up.
On a sunny morning at Valencia the Volvo driver posted a 1:43.291 that would have placed him on top of Saturday’s Q1; instead he qualified 17th with a lap of 1:45.082.
The Chevrolet trio of Yvan Muller (1:43.717), Rob Huff (1:43.991) and Alain Menu (1:44.007) filled the spots from second to fourth, with Tom Coronel in fifth (1:44.032) and Javier Villa in sixth (1:44.313) and best of the Yokohama Trophy.
A couple of drivers had moments at Turn 1: Fredy Barth drove wide and rejoined, while Aleksei Dudukalo went straight onto the gravel bed.
Russian newcomer David Sigacev proved competitive once again. He set the 15th fastest lap this morning, after having qualified 14th yesterday in the KK Motorsport BMW.
