This coming weekend, the 6th and 7th of April the second round of the 2013 World Touring Car Championship will take place in Morocco, the first visit of the year to a street circuit. After a good performance in the opening round, Tiago Monterio is quite optimistic for upcoming two races and will continue to give the maximum so he can continue to add even more very valuable world championship points to their Championship accounts.

On such a demanding circuit for the car, Tiago is aware that it could be a difficult week-end for his Honda Civic. "It’s a track with very specific characteristics. It is fast and aggressive on the brakes and requires a lot of concentration due to the fact that it is a street circuit and it’s very bumpy. We will have to wait and see if the car can withstand so many bumps. But we are confident in our work," the Portuguese driver explained.

There hasn’t been any time for Honda to work on any development since the last round so Tiago knows what to expect. "We know that we still lack a bit of top speed but hopefully on this track, that while it’s very fast, it is not as fast as Monza, we will focus our work on the chassis and I believe we will reach a good compromise," he continued.

Tiago is not looking at a podium result as a goal for this week-end: "I think at this early stage it is important to score points and continue to evolve. Qualifying sessions are another area we are focusing on. This time I hope they will be less confused and that we will extract all the car’s potential. It is going to be a hard week-end but an exciting one!" concluded the Portuguese driver.
