Q&A with Patrik Flodin

Ace Swede Patrik Flodin has prepared for his IRC return in Corsica with a test in France aboard a Petter Solberg Engineering M-Sport Ford Fiesta S2000.

How did your first test go in the M-Sport Ford Fiesta S2000 you will use in the IRC?

“It was my first time in a Super 2000 car and was a very, very good test. I was so happy because I didn’t think the car would be so good but it was. I did two days in France and covered about 200 kilometres.”

What result do you think you can achieve in Corsica?

“I have never been there before but I hear it will be very, very tricky for the first time. First of all it’s important to get to the finish to get more experience of the car before I can be really fast. I hope to be quick but I have to be cautious, too.”

How much of help will your team boss Petter Solberg be?

“He has told me a few things and for sure he has very good experience but it’s hard for him to do more – I am the one who has to drive the car on the rally.”
