O’Young shines in Sepang 12 hours
Sharing an Audi R8 LMS car with former Le Mans winners Frank Biela and Marco Werner
WTCC regular Darryl O’Young has made full use of the season’s summer break to achieve a brilliant result in the Merdeka Millennium Endurance Race which was held last Sunday at Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia.
Sharing an Audi R8 LMS car with former Le Mans winners Frank Biela and Marco Werner, O’Young impressed, first by clocking the team’s fastest qualifying time and then helping the Audi Racing Experience Team Joest clinching second place on their Asian debut from fourth on the grid.
The 12-hour race was won by the Arrows Racing Team Lamborghini that completed 315 laps and crossed the line just one lap ahead of O’Young’s Audi.
