Lindström brings more star quality to ERC

Kaj Lindström, previously co-driver to superstars such as Tommi Mäkinen and Kimi Räikkönen, joins his fellow Finn Jari Ketomaa on Rally Liepāja-Ventspils from 1-3 February.

It will be Lindström’s first event together with his old friend Ketomaa, who has driven a variety of machinery in the past but switches to a Ford Fiesta Regional Rally Car for the snow rally, his first appearance in the ERC.

“I don’t really know what to expect as there are many new things: including the whole event, which will be a new experience for me,” said Lindström. “But I’ve spoken with Jari and he seems very determined. We’ll start off with the idea of trying to win and then see what happens. There’s not much I can do to help Jari when it comes to the driving: his record speaks for itself. But maybe I can bring some extra experience to the car, for the strategy and mental approach, to help us achieve the result we want.”
