Breen ready for Monte Carlo

Rising Irish star Craig Breen is the latest driver to commit to next year’s Monte Carlo Rally.

The British Rally Championship star will tackle next year’s Intercontinental Rally Challenge opener in his M-Sport-built Fiesta S2000.

“The Monte Carlo is a classic event,” said Breen. “I did ice notes last year for Daniel Barry and I really enjoyed the event. There are so many classic stages. You go to that event and, with a bit of luck on your side, you could come away with a result inside the top-10. But even if things don’t go your way, you have your experience from the event; you have your pacenotes and you’ve driven the roads. And it’s a free entry!”

Breen added the Monte Carlo Rally’s status as the opening round of the IRC was another draw.

“It’s great competition in the IRC,” he said. “And, don’t forget, with the IRC there’s going to be some fantastic television coverage on Eurosport.”
