WTCC Hungaroring - Race 1 & 2 : They said...

Alain MENU – winner of Race 1: “Being on pole I knew that if I could lead the first lap I had a good chance to win the race. But Michelisz was very quick behind me and he was catching me up. As I expected his tyres started to give up after half way, like mine... Anyway I managed to keep him behind but he was never too far and kept me under pressure until the end. It was a very good result!”

Yvan MULLER – winner of Race 2: “It was very tough as in the first laps it was nearly impossible to stay on the track, so deep was the water. When the race resumed I knew that the track would have dried up very quickly. It was not easy to overtake Tarquini, but after I managed to do it I could push a little bit and create a gap. This was enough to make me able to save my tyres during the final laps. It was time for me to move the score in term of victories.”
