More to come for Volvo Polestar Cyan Racing
That’s what Thed Bjork thinks
Thed Björk says Polestar Cyan Racing punched above its weight by sealing its breakthrough top score in the FIA World Touring Car Championship in China last month, but is certain the victory won’t be the last for the Volvo S60 Polestar TC1.
Björk won the Opening Race in Shanghai in what was the 10th WTCC weekend for the all-Swedish car following a dramatic final-lap pass on Norbert Michelisz.
Following his victory, Björk said: “We were working really hard for this podium but a win in the first year was really more than we could ask for so it’s absolutely fantastic to get the victory here. Like everybody else in the other teams the mechanics are working really hard for this. It just brings a lot of joy and we can be very happy to continue like this next year.”
