Menkerud teams up with Brynildsen

Cato Menkerud will replace Denis Giraudet as Eyvind Brynildsen’s co-driver for the 2010 S-WRC season. The duo will drive together for the first time in the Mountain Rally in Norway 23rd of January.

22 year old Eyvind Brynildsen will be one of the drivers in the new S-WRC this year with a Skoda Fabia S2000 run by the Belgian team Renè Georges Rally Sport.

Eyvind Brynildsen says: "I’m very grateful to Denis. With his huge experience he has learned me a lot. It was a hard decision, but I have always meant that it is an advantage to have a co-driver from your own country, speaking the same language. I feel that this is a once in the lifetime opportunity. It can be 10-20 years from now to the next time a Norwegian codriver as Cato will be available."

Cato Menkerud says: "I’m very motivated. Eyvind is young. He has the right attitude, he is hungry and he works hard. He has already shown his qualities with some very impressive results last year. This will be very exciting. "

Brynildsen and Menkerud will to the Rally Sweden, Mexico, Jordan, Portugal, Germany, France and Great Britain I this year’s SWRC. They will also do some rounds in the Norwegian Championship.
