During today’s Sprint Race in Valencia, James Calado and Rio Haryanto were fighting for the win but in the later stages the pair finally touched at the chicane, with the Indonesian losing his front wing and thus retired.
It was found by the Stewards that the Haryanto had caused the collision.
The Carlin driver was thus handed a five place grid position for Silverstone Feature Race which will take place in two weeks.
