Campos Racing with Monje and Valente
It’s the third french driver this year
Campos Racing has announced that Fernando Monje and Hugo Valente will drive both SEAT León 1.6L cars in the World Touring Car Championship. Regarding the ETCC, both SEAT León 2.0Ls will be driven by Igor Skuz and Wolfgang Treml.
Campos Racing will have two very competitive driver line-ups to approach both touring car championships that the Alzira-based team is going to race this year: WTCC and ETCC. For the World Touring Car Championship, the Spaniard Fernando Monje will drive the first unit of SEAT León 1.6L fielded by Campos Racing. Monje, thanks to his sponsors, will compete in the WTCC once again. His main goal is the Independents´ title, an ambitious target after winning the European championship in 2012.
Hugo Valente, a young French driver and 20 years of age, will drive a second SEAT León 1.6L starting his season at Hungaroring.
In Europe, Campos Racing will be a title contender in the ETCC. The team will field two SEAT León 2.0s for Ukrainian Igor Skuz and Austrian Wolfgang Treml. Skuz clinched podium finishes last year in the ETCC and Treml has plenty of experience in touring car racing.
