Bennani to complete Citroën’s WTCC MAC3 line-up

Mehdi Bennani will complete Citroën’s line-up for the first ever WTCC MAC3 team trial competition.

FIA World Touring Car Championship manufacturers Citroën, Honda and LADA are taking part in the Tour de France-inspired contest, which takes place immediately following Qualifying Q3 at each WTCC event.

They each nominate three drivers and while Honda and LADA are planning to field their same trio of factory drivers all season, Citroën Racing head Yves Matton will rotate the make’s third driver to partner works aces José María López and Yvan Muller.

Manufacturers will start in reverse championship order from 2015 with LADA first followed by Honda and then Citroën.

The full line-up for the inaugural WTCC MAC3 is as follows:

LADA: Gabriele Tarquini, Hugo Valente, Nicky Catsburg

HONDA: Norbert Michelisz, Rob Huff, Tiago Monteiro

CITROËN: José María López, Yvan Muller, Mehdi Bennani
