Glock to miss final test after appendix surgery
Teammate d’Ambrosio will run on all four days
Timo Glock looks set to miss next week’s final pre-season test as he recovers in a Swiss hospital.
Reuters reports on Tuesday that Virgin’s 28-year-old German driver has had his appendix removed after a sudden illness and "routine" surgery.
"To ensure a swift recovery, it is unlikely that he will take part in next week’s test in Barcelona and that Jerome (d’Ambrosio) will run on all four days instead," said team boss John Booth.
The news was also confirmed by a spokeswoman of the South Yorkshire based F1 team.
