Davidson joins Peugeot for Le Mans

Former Super Aguri Honda racer Anthony Davidson will compete at Le Mans this year with 2009 winners Peugeot.

The British driver joins fellow former F1 racers Alex Wurz and Marc Gene in the #1 entry.

Other F1 names include Franck Montagny in the #2 car and Sebastien Bourdais in the #3 car.

Last year’s Le Mans winners Marc Gene and Alexander Wurz will be joined by Anthony Davidson,” said team boss Olivier Quesnel. “We had a number of options for this car, including Sebastien Loeb. Anthony Davidson was available – he is quick, enthusiastic and very happy to be part of Team Peugeot Total."

Former BMW Sauber test driver Christian Klien has taken a reserve role with the team.
