The two Hispania Racing drivers, Vitantonio Liuzzi and Narain Karthikeyan, will attend Turkish Super League giants, Besiktas’ training session on Thursday the 5th of May in Istanbul.

Tonio and Narain will first visit Besiktas’ training ground facilities before witnessing the end of the team’s training session. To round off the day, the drivers will make their way onto the playing fields to meet Tayfur Havutçu’s men which includes big names such as Real Madrid’s former playmaker Guti, Simao (ex Atletico Madrid) and Ricardo Quaresma, Portuguese international who once played for the likes of Chelsea and Barcelona.

Two of the most followed sports on the planet, football and Formula 1, will come face to face in the city of Istanbul. The Spanish team’s drivers will have the chance to get to know the history of Turkey’s oldest sport club, Besiktas Jimnastik Kulubu, which was founded in 1902 and is made up of professional football, basketball, volleyball and handball teams amongst others. The football team has 13 domestic league titles and 8 national cups to its name, placing it amongst the countries elite.
