Lopez also wins Tag Heuer Best Lap Trophy
Along his 28th WTCC win
José María López was a winner in more ways than one when the FIA World Touring Car Championship stopped off in his native Argentina over the weekend.
Not only did the factory Citroën win Sunday’s Main Race for WTCC victory number 28, he also won the TAG Heuer Best Lap Trophy for his sub-record effort in the event-closing contest.
The TAG Heuer Best Lap Trophy is presented at all rounds of the WTCC to the driver setting the fastest lap of all over the course of the two races. López clocked a 1m45.899s best to earn his third TAG Heuer Best Lap Trophy of 2016, which comes with a TAG Heuer watch.
